Shopping Cart Difficulties (posted 24-4-09)

Our current version of Shopping Cart can calculate weight but not dimensions therefore some items may require extra postage eg: items that are larger than the standard size accepted by Australia post ie cages & wire fronts

For these items Buy Budgies may list the product at a larger weight to cover these extra postage costs.

Buy Budgies reserves the right to notify customers to request additional fees if the incorrect postage charge has been calculated at shopping cart. In these cases customers will be entitled to a refund if they are not happy with the additional fees. We aplogise for any inconvenience until we sort out all the issues (not many)

However for 99% of our products it works fine

AUST POST

STANDARD SHIPPING

is via Aust Post to all Areas of Australia using standard post

Postage rates are calculated during checkout at standard Aust Post rates + 20cents (to allow for packing cost)

AVERAGE COST

Average postage anywhere in Australia for items under .25k  (is $4.40) +$2 handling and packaging

ie the average weight for a 125ml Bottle of "XXX product" is 0.18kgs + packaging weight

At this stage Express Post orders are not available through shopping cart but will be in the future,

however they are available currently by email or phone orders.

AIR FREIGHT Australian Air Express, (interstate Sales for budgies) the buyer pays us then the breeder takes birds to Airport for you buyer to collect on same day. Cost is usually $65-$100 + transport cage ($20 1-3 birds) for most locations around Australia. Please note: There is currently no insurance available for Air transporting Birds. You must choose this option at your own risk. All Birds must be paid for at time of shipment, the Seller is required to pay costs at airport.  Buy Budgies will reimburse the seller for fright costs. Excact prices for Air freight will be advised after purchase This will mean another transaction.
 

COURIER OR ROAD FREIGHT by quote, Select shipping by quote in shopping cart for larger cages aviaries etc
